Leaf tendrils

The presence or absence of leaf tendrils. These generally take the form of long, slender (usually) coiled organs arising from the rachis of a compound leaf, pinnately arranged, and in the place of leaflets. Tendrils are usually present in the genera Vicia, Lathyrus, Cicer and Pisum (Tribe Vicieae).
