    Zacharin, Robert Fyfe   (1925 - 2012)Born 11 April 1925 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia; died 9 May 2012
    Zacharin was educated at Wesley College, Melbourne, and then attended Melbourne University. He qualified MB BS in 1948. 
    Zacharin was a gynaecologist at the
    Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, and Examiner in
    Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University
    of Melbourne and Monash University. He is
    also Examiner to the Royal College of
    Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. 
He 
    travelled extensively in the United Kingdom,
    Europe, U.S.A., Central America, South and
    East Africa, Indonesia, China and Nepal,
    where he trekked to the Annapurna
    Sanctuary and the Everest Base Camp. He has
    also visited Mauritius, India and Ceylon, and
    in all these places has pursued the emigrant
    eucalypts.
    He wrote the book: 'Emigrant Eucalypts, Gum Trees as Exotics' in 1978.
