Born 23 February 1929, died 23 October 2021
Muriel worked for the then 'Canberra Botanic Gardens' from the late 1960s through its transformation to 'National Botanic Gardens' and finally 'Australian National Botanic Gardens'.
For many years Muriel managed what was known as 'Stocktake', now 'Plant Records', recording the placement of living plants in the Gardens and their links to herbarium voucher specimens.
She was a close associate of botanist Ian Telford and they undertook some joint collecting.
