Born 23 January 1887, Alvaleigh Station near Ayr, North Queensland. Died Brisbane 12 July 1979.
Educated Charters Towers, Nth. Qld. Lay Reader, Charters Towers from 16 Dec. 1907. Trained for the Priesthood at St. Francis Theological College, Brisbane.
Made a Deacon 27 Oct. 1912 and appointed to St. James Cathedral, Townsville as Assistant Curate. Ordained a Priest 5 Oct. 1913. At parishes in Townsville, Mackay and Sarina, Qld. for 5 years.
Chaplain (Captain) with the 11th Light Horse Regiment in the Middle East during W.W.l, from Sept. 1918 to Sept. 1919.
Continued as Curate in Sarina. Married Urara Mary Dimmock at Mackay on 7 January 1920. Rector at Innisfail, and locum at Charters Towers 1920 - 1923.
23 Nov. 1923 appointed Priest-in-Charge of the Anglican Mission Station at Dogura, Papua.
Oct. 1933 established a new Mission Station at Sefoa, Cape Nelson, Papua.
Resigned late 1936 after 13 years service due to failing eyesight.
Rector at Home Hill, Townsville, Charters Towers and Bowen, Qld. 1937 - 1954.
Retired Sept. 1954 and returned to Townsville where he continued working as locum and assistant at various parishes.
Townsville Hospital Chaplain until 1968.
Moved to Brisbane late January 1974 and died there 12 July 1979. Ashes laid at St. James Cathedral, Townsville.
