Daintrey, 
    Edwin (1814 - 1887)Born: 2 Sept. 1814 Petworth Sussex England, died: 3 October 1887 Randwick Sydney NSW.
Married: Susan Dickson 1845 Paddington NSW also at Goulbourn NSW.
    Parents: George Daintrey and Mary Woods-Sandham.
    Training to be a Doctor of Medicine in London, ill health forced him to NSW 
    in 1840 where the Governor appointed Edwin Daintrey, Edward Burton and Robert 
    Shadforth, gentlemen, Clerks of Arraigus and Clerks of Assize in the Circuit 
    Courts. Edwin became a solicitor and was on many committees. In 1860 Edwin 
    delivered an address to the Randwick Mutual Improvement Society on "The 
    Microscope - its results and uses" Edwin was a solicitor with offices 
    at 33 Castlereagh Street Sydney, an expert amateur botanist and a founder 
    of the Linnean Society of NSW.
