  Allitt, William  (fl. 1860-80s)  Was curator of Portland's local Botanic Garden from the ‘sixties to the 'eighties; he botanized between Darlot's Creek and the South Australian border and his collectings, remitted to Mueller, are available in the National Herbarium, South Yarra.
    Commemorated by Leucopogon allittii F.v.M.
