Curate at Toowoomba, Qld, 1868; moved to Grafton, N.S.W., 1874, then to Sydney 1875, Campbell- town 1876, '89, '93, '98, Liverpool & Camden 1895-1904, Georges R. 1899, Yass 1899, Kiama 1904-11, Wollongong 1907-11.

Helped to establish Campbelltown Botanical Collecting Soc, 1878.

Collected plants for R.T.Baker, e.g. Eumindi Nov. 1895, Georges R. Nov. 1899.

Specimens at BRI, CGE presented 1897), NSW, PERTH (1).

Published handbook on making a herbarium; also a floral chart.
